The reason it cannot be copied is bc it’s a platform, under Lens Studio, and once, for instance, Snap’s Snap Map gets populated with objects made by creators it will become the de-facto “marketplace” where those wares are viewed. In other words he’s talking about a network effect which cannot be copied (the technology and concepts can be copied). It’s a community which cannot be copied, and this has been the case already despite the mainstream-media reporting the death of Snapchat (via Instagram copying Stories) after Stories was copied.
Snap games, Snap Originals (ad network effects), Snap Map, Stories and Lens Studio all form a SUITE of apps which will be standard on visual-computers in the future (early version 0.2 example is Snap’s sunglasses cameras) but more importantly standard NOW on the current main computer (the smartphone).
